Mortar Board is a national senior honor society representing the best and the brightest seniors across the United States. Here at Texas Tech University, Mortar Board is a legend. The organization is comprised of the top 50 seniors on campus. We are an active organization, taking scholarship, leadership, and service to new levels.

Although each member is already very involved in campus activities, serving as leaders and activists, they have committed their time and energy to continue to pass on Mortar Board’s reputation and traditions. Our members are required to serve in leadership positions, this has enabled our organization to meet spotlighted recognitions in 2003 and 2005 as the Honorary Organization of the Year, and receive the prestigious Golden Circle Award.

Membership to this honor organization is not simply a resume-building achievement – Mortar Board Forum Chapter’s purpose is to excel through scholarship, leadership, and service benefiting Texas Tech campus and the Lubbock community. Through working together in these efforts, members gain invaluable skills, helpful contacts, and mutually beneficial relationships.
